Market researches - 1/2/06

A few set of market information released this week:

• According to IDC, Latin America mobile phone sales reached 105m last year (+34%).

• Yankee Group founds that there are about 13.4m US mobile subscribers (+200%) with MVNOs by the end of 2005. The figure would grow to 29m by 2010, or 12% of the total US subscriber base.

• According to In-Stat, total VoIP subscribers worldwide were 16m in 2005 and projected to grow to over 55m in 2009.

• M:Metrics has found that Yahoo is the most popular mobile content brand, with almost 13mUS mobile users in 4Q0., ahead of AOL with 8m, MSN and Google with 7m each.

• According to Infonetics, the worldwide WiFi phone market jumped 76% to $102m in 2005.

• Dell'Oro forecasts IP PBX sales would reach $2bn in 2010.

• Research and Markets predicts that TD-SCDMA will serve 100m users in China by 2010.

• According to In-Stat, DSL IC revenues will fall to $0.9bn by 2009 from $1.6bn in 2004.
