WiMAX licenses in France

WiMAX licenses in France: More than 175 companies had deposited files for WiMAX licenses in Oct.05. With the final round starting February 1^st, it is expected that about only 50 files will be maintained for acquiring the 2 licenses per region (or a total of 44). FT, SFR and Hub Telecom (ex- ADP; Paris Airports) want to continue alone. But already some consortia are known:

TDF/ Axione (Bouygues)/ LDCollectivités for a license in every region,
Sogretel (ClearWire/ Antalys (TV Diffusion)/ and two MSOs (Numericable and UPC)
SAPRR (highways) / Free
