Mobile contracts - 19/01/08

ALU has received a 5-year order from US Cellular to increase coverage and capacity of its CDMA network. It will provide Brasil Telecom Participações with the administration and maintenance of the operator's fixed and mobile telephony infrastructure and data-transmission network. This latter contract is worth $1.1bn.

Huawei is providing a next-generation USB device E172 to Vodafone.

Amdocs is providing an OSS platform to Sunrise (Switzerland).

Harris Stratex Networks will supply Starcomms (Nigeria) with radio access.

NSN and Huawei will be the 3G suppliers for Tele Norte (Brazil) under a $568m contract.
