-   According to In-Stat, location-based services (LBS) may finally realize its potential in the APAC region in the upcoming five years. The market is expected to reach $772m by 2010, from $353m in 2004.

-   According to Forrester Research, 25% of UK users would consider switching banks if they were offered free mobile banking services and 51% would be interested in mobile banking.

-   Strategy Analytics found that US ARPU for voice services were dropping 8% with data services failing to make up the gap. USA was for years a shining example in how to increase mobile subscribers while still growing average revenues and margins; but that time seems over.

-   eMarketer forecasts that the US mobile TV users would rise to 15m in 2009, up from current 1.2m and 3m in 2005.

-   According to Dataxis, France is ranked 2nd in ADSL deployment with 6,1m lines, behind China with 12,4m lines. But according to Point Topic, the UK had 6,4m DSL subscribers at the end of Sept. 05.
