Subscriber figures - 22/12/05

China Mobile added 3,9m new mobile subscribers in November to a total of 243m, while China Unicom added 0,9m to a total of 94,1m. China could finish 2005 with 393m mobile subscribers.

STC (Saudi Arabia) has increased the number of new users by 1.4m to over 11m by December 2005.

Celcom (Malaysia) expects 40,000 3G subscribers by the end of 2005.

Banglalink (Bangladesh) and subsidiary of Orascom Telecom, has signed up more than 1m subscribers in just 10 months.

Portugal has 11m mobile subscribers.

Partner Communications (Israel), a subsidiary of Hutchison, has about 100,000 3G subscribers.
