China had 732m telephone users, of which 383m were mobile users and 349m were fixed-line, as of the end of Oct.. China added 48.2m new mobile users and 36.8m fixed-line users in the January-October period. It is expected that China would have over 440m mobile subscribers by the end of next year, and over 380m fixed lines.

Brazil reached 82.3m cellphones in service in November.

The consolidated subscriber base of MTS (Russia) rose 3.2% in November to 54.1m users.
