• According to LG, the worldwide phone market is expected to grow by 8-10% in 2006.
• Nokia foresees that the Latin American mobile customer base will grow by 63% to 325m in the end of 2009.
• According to Telephia (UK), 3G raises adoption of applications and increases overall data services spending. In the UK, 56% of of 3G users browsed the Internet, about 1/3 are downloading video clips, music, video messaging, video calling or games; 10% are seeing streaming TV and 8% are playing online games. 3G users spend an average of $76 per month on voice and data services, 50% above non-3G subscribers.
• ABI forecasts that the worldwide broadband video market will continue to grow rapidly through the end of the decade to over $16bn.
• According to Telecompaper, the number of broadband subscribers soared to over 188m, adding some 15,6m new subscribers in 3Q05.
