Comtech reports FY1Q06 net sales of $107m, up 91%, and net income of $11,5m, up 62%.

Ciena recorded a loss of $253m (about half the loss last fiscal year), but that only narrowed 2% excluding special costs and items. FY4Q05 revenues increased 44% to $118m. It forecast that FY1Q06 revenue would be flat.

Qualcomm expects to ship 47m (up 20%) mobile station modem chips during 1Q06, driving revenues up some 20% to about $1.7+bn, and profit about 12% to 37 cents a share.
