India currently has 38,5m internet users, up 54% yoy. That number is expected to grow to 100m in 2 years. The number of cyber cafes in cities and towns across India moved from 18,000 in 2001 to 105,350 this year.
MTC (Kuwait) has over 12m subscribers in 18 countries.
Vodafone KK (Japan) announced 15m mobile subscribers, of which 2m are 3G. Vodafone KK added a record subscriber growth in November with 57,000 new subs.

In Russia, mobile phone subscriptions rose to 119.7m in November, according to AC&M, of which 56,1m for MTS, 43m for Vimpelcom, and 22m for Megafon.
