Ericsson signed a new managed services deal with 3 Italy to provide hosted ringback tones. The contract is an extension of the previous managed services deal, signed in 1Q05.
It has received two other contracts from Caribbean Digicel group in Haiti and Trinidad & Tobago, to respectively upgrade their GSM networks to EDGE.

Alcatel won a GSM contract with SMARTS (Russia) to extend its network in the Povolzhie region.

Nokia will expand Thailand' s AIS GSM network under a $55m contract. It has received a contract worth $141m from BSNL (India) for a GSM/EDGE/GPRS network expansion project in North India.
