TeliaSonera (Sweden) reported 2004 results: € 9.12bn in sales (flat); €2.1bn (up 43%) in operating income; € 1.44bn in net profit (vs. loss); € 3.36bn in EBITDA (flat) and € 1.15bn in CAPEX (+15%).

 

Tiscali (Italy) posted 4Q04 EBITDA of €33.4m, up 21% and revenue of €267m, up 7%. At the end of the year, its subscriber base was 1.65m.

 

Digi.com (Malaysia): 4Q04 net profit was $25m (+69%) while full year net profit was $ 83.5m (+123%). 4D04 revenues were $ 159m (up 25%) and 2004 revenues were $ 587m (up 30%). Digi.com had 3.2m subscribers at the end of 2004.

 

MCI: 4Q04 revenues were down 10% to $5bn; EBITDA was $ 775m. The Enterprise unit revenue fell 3%, while U.S. Sales and Service reported sales of $ 2.1bn (down 15%), Wholesale revenues fell 23% to c.a. $ 700m and International sales rose 5% to $950m.

 

Rogers Communications (Canada) reported 2004 revenues of $4.6bn (+17%) of which $ 2.3bn in wireless (+23%), $ 1.58bn in cable (+9%) and 0.7bn in media (+5%). Net loss amounted to $ 10.8bn (vs. profit in 2003).

 

Qwest posted 4Q04 revenues of $ 3.4bn (almost flat) and narrowing net loss of $ 139m. Qwest ended 2004 with 754,000 wireless subscribers (a loss of 139k users), while its wireless revenue drop 14% to $ 510m.

 

Hutchinson Telecom ‘Australia) recorded a 2004 net loss of $434m on revenues of $ 605m, up 126%.

 

Tele2 (Sweden) posted an increase of 16% in 2004 revenues to $ 6.38bn, an increase of 16% in EBITDA to $ 0.98bn and a drop of 20% in profit after taxes to $ 280m.

 

Telenor (Norway) posted increasing 2004 revenues to $ 9.94bn (up 15%) and decreasing operating income to $ 1.07bn (down 13%).

 

Brazil Telecom posted 4Q04 net profit of $ 16m on revenues of $ 0.95bn, up 19%. EBITDA rose 34% to $ 297m.

 

MTC reported 2004 revenues of $ 1.1bn, up 23% and EBITDA up 15% to $ 600m.

 

SFR (France): 2004 revenues rose 10% to € 8.3bn, of which € 7.2bn in mobile telephony.
