Subscriber figures - 21/09/07

S. Korea: SK Telecom reached 21.5m subscribers by end-August, of which 804k 3G users; while KTF had 13.5m subscribers, of which 1.7m are 3G.

India added almost 6m new mobile subscribers in August, bringing the total to 148m.

Argentina: according to Prince & Cooke, local figures were inflated. Argentina should end 2007 with 27m mobile subscribers and a mobile penetration rate of 69%.

Brazil: mobile subscribers were 111m at the end of August.

Grameenphone (Bangladesh) reaches 15m mobile subscribers.

China Mobile' s total number of subscribers rose to 338m at the end of July.
