RAD Data has been awarded a contract by Japan' s eMobile for deploying its ACE-3000 cell-site gateways for mobile broadband backhaul.

ALU has inked a $150m contract with Cambodian cellco CamGSM for rural network expansion, and will expand the Mobinil' s (Egypt) GSM network. It has been selected by China Unicom to build value-added platform and provide its Intelligent Service Gateway (ISG).

NSN has been awarded a contract by Bosnia and Herzegovina's M:TEL for GSM/EDGE network extension. It will provide Cellcom Israel with a fixed-mobile convergence solution.

Ericsson has announced a deal with Uruguay's Movistar for the launch of its 3G network.

LG will deliver its LG VX8350 mobile phone to Verizon Wireless.
