Cisco is announcing its first wireless LAN mesh products.

Motorola and Juniper Networks plan to jointly develop standards-based Modular Cable Modem Termination System (M-CMTS) platforms to enable cable operators to reliably and cost-effectively support next-generation IP-based services.

Motorola Ventures has invested in PON-chip vendor BroadLight, as well as Siemens and Tellabs.
