Oger Telecom and Turkey signed agreement on the purchase of 55% of Turk Telecom for $6,6bn.

Telekom Malaysia, through its Dialog Telekom unit, will buy MTT Network (Sri Lanka) for about $19m, to expand its broadband services in Sri Lanka.

Bell Mobility, Rogers Wireless and Telus Mobility (all in Canada) have formed Wireless Payment Services, a mobile commerce gateway to secure wireless payment transactions.
