ZTE has won a contract with Nitel, Nigeria, to expand the country' s CDMA network. It also got a W-CDMA contract with Indigo Tajikistan, a joint venture belonging to the American multinational carrier MCT.

Nortel won a GSM-R network for the Channel Tunnel Rail Link along the British portion of the railways line between London and Folkestone.

Alcatel is testing its GPS reception system throughout Europe for FT/Orange.
