Vendor results - 13/11/05

Cisco posts FY06-1Q net income of $1,3bn (down 7%), on revenues of $6,5bn (up 10%). The results are below expectations, reflecting slow growth in Europe, but a good surprise in the US (+15%).

Sonus reported a 3Q05 net loss of $2.7m (down74%), on revenues of $46m (down 2,4%).

JDS Uniphase FYQ1 loss widens to $67m (from $36m) while revenues jumped 33% to $258m.

Siemens reported 3Q05 sales grew 13% to €22,1bn, with EBIT down 37% to €926m and net profit slipping 33% to €497 (without discontinued operations).

Amdocs reports FY4Q net income of $84m, up 29%, on revenues of $573m, up 27%. Full year results were: revenues of $2bn, up 15%, and EPS grew 27% to $1,35.

UTStarcom announced 3Q05 net loss of $ 403m, vs profit of $5m, on revenues of $635m, down 1,5%. 9- month net loss amounted to $440m, vs profit of $104m a year earlier.
