Ericsson has landed a new contract in Uruguay from Movistar to provide a complete new GSM network, including EDGE-ready GSM/GPRS, related services and microwave links. It also got 3G contract expansion with TDC Mobil for its CDMA network, It signed a contract with Jordanian operator MobileCom to supply its push email solution, Ericsson Mobile Organizer.

Samsung got a large order from Sprint Nextel to supply 3G CDMA 2000 EV-DO handsets.

Siemens will expand AIS (Thailand) GSM network under a 3-year contract worth $52m. It holds a GSM market share of 25% in Thailand.
