According to Dittberner, Huawei led the worldwide VoIP Media gateway and softswitch market in 2004 with 24.5% of all port shipments, Nortel follows with 18,2%, ahead of Sonus, UTStarcom and Siemens,

According to The NPD Group, US mobile phone sales reached 31,6m units in 3Q05 (+30%yoy and +7% qoq), Motorola remains the market leader with 39% in the GSM world, followed by Nokia with 22% and Samsung with 14%. LG was the leader in CDMA handsets with a 27% market share, with Samsung and Motorola tied in second place at 18%.
