Brazil has a total subscriber base to 80m users, according to local regulator Anatel, of which Vivo has 36%, Telecom Italia has 23% and Claro has 21.7%.

Mobile service penetration in Russia stood at about 40% as of September 30, according to Euroset. Nokia is accounting for 19% of total mobile handset sales in Russia, Samsung accounted for 18.5%, Motorola for 18.4%, Siemens for 17.6% and SonyEricsson for 11.8%.

Algerie Telecom has 3.2 fixed users, 3m mobile users and 1.5m internet users.
