Microsoft – Yahoo – AOL – Google

We knew that Microsoft was interested in buying AOL Online from Time Warner; AOL is the Internet's second biggest network of site, with some 112 million visitors. The strategy has been disturbed by the announcement of a deal between Microsoft and Yahoo on the interoperability of their respective Instant Messaging. The deal is obviously targeted against AOL' s IM and Google' s Google Talk services. The file has once again become more complex with the announcement that Google and Comsat have entered in serious talks with Time Warner. Google and Comcast are hoping a stake in AOL for about $5bn. The battle for AOL between Microsoft and Google is promising.
