BT has launch its “Openreach” network. Openreach will provide all telecom carriers uniform access to the BT network, thereby enhancing competition in the market. Although the ownership of Openreach will remain with BT, the unit will have a separate management. Openreach has about 30,000 employees, a turnover of about $7bn, and manages a 120 million- kilometers access copper network.
