Nortel has demonstrated triple-play technology over a single CDMA EV-DO Revision A connection.

Nokia has opened its sixth global distribution hub in Dubai, focusing on mobile networks. It will launch its new Nokia Business Center, which delivers business applications and mobile e-mail for smartphones and business-optimized mobile devices. De facto, it is a Blackberry competitive product.

Sagem (France) has expended its current handset partnership with China's Ningbo BIRD.

Ericsson plans to launch WCDMA/EDGE functionality on its mobile platforms at the end of 2006, but will launch WCDMA/EDGE mobile phones under the Sony-Ericsson brand by the end of this year.
