New mobile fuel cell technology
New mobile fuel cell technology developed:
Engineers at Purdue University have developed a new fuel cell technology that automatically recharges batteries in portable electronics. The current problem is producing hydrogen in fuel cell. In the solution, small cartridges, made of a triple borohydride-metal-water mixture, are inserted into portable electronics, and changed when they are used up. Today, engineers have reached a yield of about 7% and expect to reach 10% (100gr of mixture to produce 10 gr of hydrogen) soon.
