Telus (Canada) is offering push-to-talk (PTT/PoC) services on its CDMA 1x network.

NRJ (a young French radio broadcaster) is considering becoming a MVNO in France. Another similar initiative is rumored to come from Cegetel, a French fixed-line operator and subsidiary of Vivendi, on SFR mobile network, another Vivendi subsidiary.

China Mobile Guangdong has put its 3G-EDGE network into operation.

Pakistan mobile operators will invest $700m in total to about double their subscriber base to 15m by year-end.

MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) has launched commercial 3G UMTS service with a Nokia solution.
