ALU will provide Bollore Telecom (France) with IEEE 802.16e-2005 3.5GHz WiMAX gear for the deployment in 12 regional networks in France (including Paris and PACA regions). It will provide wireless Local Area Network (LAN) solutions to Korean Broadcasting System (KBS), South Korea.

It has been selected by Southern Cross to upgrade the submarine link for capacity leap over the Australasia-U.S. Connection. ALU is building the first commercial universal WiMAX network for VSE NET (Germany).

Harris Stratex Networks will deploy microwave transmission solutions for Vimpelcom (Russia).

Alvarion has been selected by RACSA, a leading operator in Costa Rica, to provide WiMAX equipment.

Samsung won Sprint Nextel' s contract for its big WiMAX deployment in the US.

Nortel is providing WOW! (US) with an NGN optical cable network, and won a $39m contract from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
