Optus (Australia) took the helm of a G9 consortium to build a fiber optic high-speed network in Australia, and informs ACCC (anti competition agency) of their plans. Telstra has a similar approach, but was not allowed to go ahead without opening the new network to competition.
Malawi (Africa) has granted a fixed line service license to Access Communications.
Everything wrong at BT Fusion. The operator has not enrolled any new customer in two months. BT has about 40,000 Fusion customers to its fixed/mobile convergence (FMC) service, Fusion. The reasons for the slow take up are device availability and a complex marketing message.
