More and more households lack landline phones

It is an evidence, the number of landlines is decreasing in most countries for the main benefit of mobile. US adults with only a cell phone account now for 12%, up two points in 2H06. And the move is driven by young people: 25% of 18-24 and 29% of 25-29 people have only mobile phones, while only 2% of 65+ are in this case. Another interesting output of the survey is that 22% of the poorest adults had only cell phones.
