PC 1Q07 overview

According to Gartner, almost 63m PCs (+9%) were shipped in 1Q07. HO is in pole position with 11m units shipped (+29%), ahead of Dell with 8.6m (-8%), then Acer with 4.3m units (+46%) and Lenovo with 3.9m (+16%). Toshiba is fifth with 2.5m units shipped (+15%). HP has a 17.6% market share, followed by Dell with 14%, Acer with 7%, Lenovo wirh 6% and Toshiba with 4%. The USA account for almost 15m units, EMEA for 21.6m units; APAC – Japan accounts for 15.7m units and Japan for 4m PCs. More than 5m units were shipped in LATAM.
