WiFi Phones: limited interest ?

Research & Markets reports results of a survey on consumer response to the use of WiFi-only phone. Respondents most often answered no or maybe, due to limited range of use, cost of WiFi phones and poor quality of service. Is it really significant? Not at all. The question is first biased and the answer is obvious. More interesting is the overall survey result that there is a clear interest for using WiFi as a a companion technology to voice, but only if the device is made more affordable. The door remains open!
