UDcast (France) has introduced statistical multiplexing to optimize DVB-H Mobile-TV transmission. Stat mux allows to gain between 30% and 40% efficiency on a given transmission channel, and allows to send more video services with the same quality or to enhance the video quality of the available services. UDcast is already used in 70% of the current DVB-H trial deployments. UDcast proposes its stat mux solution to become an open standard for DVB-H.

InterDigital claims that Samsung has infringed its 3G patents.
