CGV Telecom (Venezuela) should shortly launch fixed-wireless telephony services using CDMA-450.

Virgin Media, Carphone Warehouse, Tiscali, Orange and Sky (all in the UK) are considering bidding for Pipex, the UK-based broadband provider. We will be shortly aware of the shortlist.

EarthLink plans to launch a $100 WiFi handset, made by Accton.
