Things moving in China?

The world is still waiting China for granting 3G licenses and start deploying networks. Many questions are pending: which technologies?, how many licenses, networks and opertors? Which suppliers? And analysts regularly are waving between pessimism and optimism. Each time a positive news is know, optimism is back. First, China Mobile has set down the timetable for the TD construction, and asked TD-SCDMA equipment suppliers to submit informal bids, kicking off a round of bidding for TD-SCDMA equipment.

As a result, China is believed to increase its investment in TD-SCDMA network construction to $3.4bn, of which 89% for base stations and network equipment.
