3G white paper available

 3G Americas, a wireless industry group supporting the GSM family of technologies, has published a white-paper covering industry progress towards UMTS Release 6 and its further long term evolution. There are currently nearly 80 commercial WCDMA networks deployed in over 30 countries and more than 130 WCDMA handsets in the market. The number of subscribers to WCDMA services reached 28.3m by end June.
