Cisco reports strong quarter results

During its FY2Q quarter, Cisco performed well with net income of $1.9bn, up 40%, on revenues of $8.5bn, up 27%. Scientific Atlanta contributed with $639m to total revenues. Cisco maintains its aggressive guidance and predicts a 19% - 20% growth in the April quarter with revenues of about $8.7bn. Cisco shares were up 5% to $28.8 in early after-hours trading.
