IBM may sell its printing business to Ricoh for $725m. IBM confirms its focus on software and services. In a separate announcement, IBM has extended its cross-partnership with Dassault Systems. IBM will sell various Dassault solutions.

Siemens announced it has bought UGS for $3.5bn.

MVR has completed the acquisition of Fiberxon, a leading supplier of transceivers for Metro, Access, and PON applications, and intends its subsidiary Luminent to file an IPO in coming months.

Ericsson announced it has completed its acquisition of Redback Networks.
