Vendor results - 13/01/07

Amdocs expects reporting results in line with guidance for its FY 1Q07 (ended Dec 31, 2006). 1Q07 revenues should be about $690m and 2007 annual revenues of $ 2.9bn. 1Q07 diluted earnings per share on a non-GAAP basis were expected to be $0.50.

Samsung Electronics reports 2006 revenues of $62.7bn, up 2.6%, operating income down 14% to $7.4bn, and net income up 4% to $8.4bn. Samsung has sold 118m units in 2006, of which 32m units in 4Q06 with a related revenue of $4.6bn (down 3%). Operating profit for its telecom division declined 34% sequentially. 4Q06 revenues were $16.6bn, up 1%, and earnings were down 8% to $2.5bn, slightly better than expected.
