EITO unveils EU ICT market survey

According to EITO, the ICT market in Europe should be worth €644bn (+3.1%) in 2006, of which 48%n for IT markets (+3.8%) and 52% for IC markets (+2.5%). The gap in dynamics between IT and IC markets would broaden in 2007 with growth of 4.2% and 1.7% respectively. Global ICT market would reach €663bn (+2.9%) in 2007. In 2006, IC market is mainly made of € 285bn in carrier services (80%-85%), and €41bn in network and datacom equipment (10%-13%). Spain is the fastest IC market in Europe, more than doubling EU average. All IC markets would decline in 2007, except France that accelerates to 2% from 1.8% and becomes the second fastest growth in EU in 2007.
