Cisco has bought IronPort Systems, a provider of messaging security applications, for $830m.

New hope for BenQ Mobile: an unnamed investor group is interested in acquiring the operations of insolvent German mobile handset maker.

Samsung Electronics has created the first LCD panel capable of producing independent images on either side of a mobile LCD display. It has also launched the Bluetooth GPS Navigator STT-D370, featuring GPS navigation, Transport Protocol Experts Group (TPEG) and terrestrial DMB, Bluetooth and text messaging.
