EU- German Government conflict
The German Upper House of Parliament (Bundesrat) has approved a new bill that allows DT to close its new ultra-high-speed fiber-optic network to rivals, violating EU laws. If signed by Germany's President, the bill will come into effect in January 07. Brussels is getting ready to launch a legal action against Germany, and send a "letter of formal notice", warning that the country faces a lawsuit at the European Court of Justice unless the law is changed.
