Ericsson has signed an agreement with STMicroelectronics on the provision of 3G digital baseband processors to Ericsson Mobile Platforms 3G mobile-phone technology' s licensees, and on the development of these digital baseband ASICs.

Once again, an Indian court ordered BSNL (India) to delay awarding contracts to Ericsson, Nokia and ITI, after Motorola claimed it was unfairly disqualified.
