BenQ Mobile (the insolvent JV between Siemens and BenQ) may be sold to a private equity fund. Siemens has refused to pay €100m to BenQ, claiming that BenQ failed to fulfil its contractual obligations to sustain the operations on a long-term basis.

LG could invest $50m in its Mexican unit to increase handset production. LG has 3 manufacturing plants in Mexico.
