Tele2 France, a MVNO using Orange mobile network, ambitiously targets to become number 3 in France. It positions itself in the low-cost segment with first packages starting at €10 per month for 30mn, and €22 for 2hours without the handset, or respectively € 14 and €26 with Nokia camera phone 6060i.

Vodafone NZ could delay launching its 3G service until November.

Telekom Malaysia continues its expansion abroad with buying an additional 4.2% stake in mobile operator Excelcomindo (Indonesia), to reach a 27% stake, for $48m in cash.

Pannon GSM (Hungary) has launched commercial trials of its UMTS network in Budapest.
