Motorola has invested in Sequans, a WiMAX chip maker. It is logical to expect Motorola to use WiMAX chips as well.

Alcatel has signed a procurement deal with Sequans to buy WiMAX chips for customer premise equipment in India and other emerging markets.

ECI Telecom has introduced a family of Carrier Ethernet line cards for its leading Multi-Service Provisioning Platform (MSPP) product line. It has also enhanced its Multi-Layer Network Management System for Optical, Ethernet and SONET/SDH, as well as its 10G LAN transport over DWDM.

Zhone Technologies has completed compatibility testing between its advanced communications equipment with Nortel' s softswitch.
