Huawei got Telefonica broadband ADSL contract in Spain.

Nortel is providing its optical technology in the core and metro networks of MTC (Kuwait).

Motorola and Teledata (India) will deploy rural wireless broadband access in the province of Madhya Pradesh in India.

Alcatel will make its first WiMAX deployments in Latin America in 1H07 (for Telefonica ?). It will provide its ROADM-powered solution to PT Luxembourg in a Trans-European Network spanning more than 3000km across Europe. It will supply China Mobile with a highly reliable IP-based infrastructure.

Telent (ex Marconi, UK) has been awarded a frame contract for roadside communications contract in the North-West TechMAC in five counties. First order is worth €18m.
