Vodafone reported FY1HO7 results, ended Sept. 30. Revenues were €23.2bn, +4%, of which €21.5 came from service revenues, +4%. EBITDA amounted to €9.3bn, up 3%, and operating loss amounted to €4.3bn, vs income last year. Net loss for the period amounted to €7.5bn. Vodafone generated net cash flow from operating activities of €7.4bn, down 18%. Revenues split reveals that 75% of revenues are generated in Western Europe, with underlying WE revenues up 4.2% with Spain growing almost 20%. WE contributed 70% to Group EBITDA with EBITDA margin worth 40.6%. EMAPA (Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe and ASIA-Pacific) generated 20% of revenues and contributed to 17.5% to EBITDA, with EBITDA margin worth 35.8%.

Vodafone had 191.5m mobile proportionate subscribers, of which 95.5m in WE and 96m in EMAPA. It had about 30m subscribers to its Vodafone Live services, and almost 11m 3G devices in use. Non voice services accounted for 17.8% of service revenues, up 7.2%.
