WirelessHD Consortium

It is a new alliance of seven leading electronics makers (LG Electronics, Matsushita Electric/ Panasonic, NEC, Samsung Electronics, Sony, Toshiba, andSiBEAM, targeting to unwire HD TV sets from cable or satellite boxes, gaming consoles, DVD players, camcoders, and portable multimedia devices. First products will not hit the market until at least 2008, are targeted to be low-cost and will deliver high-definition video at multi-gigabit data rates (something about 20Gbit/s).
