EU released a new study showing that in Europe, there are more cell phones than fixed lines. 80% of European households have a mobile phone while only 78% have a fixed line. 18% rely only on their cell phones, having no fixed line. 52% of European households have at least one computer, but there are wide differences between the 25 countries (83% in NL and 33% in Greece). 40% of European households are connected to Internet, here also with wide differences between countries (80% in NL and 14% in Slovakia). Broadband access to the net reaches 23% of European households on average, but ranging from 63% in NL versus 2% in Greece.
