Vendor results - 25/08/06

HP posts FY3Q06 net profit up to $1.3bn (from $73m last year) on sales up 5% to $22bn. Enterprise Storage and Servers (ESS) division reports sales of $4.1bn up 3%, of which blade servers unit saw a growth of 37%.

BenQ reports 2Q06 net loss of $76.5m, reversing a net profit last year, but about half the loss in 1Q06. Revenues were up 85% to $1.7bn.
