Motorola has rolled out network data switching in multi-net mobility (MNM) solution. This will further enhance MNM's intelligent routing. It has also tied up with Taldia to provide news service for its iRadio customers (Taldia specializes in conversion of text to audio files for mobile devices).

TrollTech(Norway) has introduced the first fully re-programmable cell phone handset. This will help developers to participate in the cell phone market.

Nokia bought on-line music specialist Loudeye for $60m.

Qualcomm is swallowing Qualphone Inc., a provider of IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS) software for mobile devices for $18m.
